Background[]
Large Parakeets are for intermidiate owners. They all have unique traits. The smaller ones are 12 inches in length and 6 inches height. The largest one is 21 inches tall 10.5 in height. Species include:

Housing []
A cage with a size 36x36x36 is okay but bigger is better. They need bar spacing of 1/2-1 inch
Feeding[]
Pellets, fruit, vegetables, grains, and occasional lean meat is the diet.
Grooming[]
They need baths at least weekly. Nail trims are needed to prevent injury. Wing trims are optional, talk to your vet about beak trimming.
Health Concerns[]
They need at least a yearly checkup and whenever they are sick.
